How Workers' Comp Mileage Reimbursement Works

Every state with a workers' comp system reimburses you for travel to approved medical treatment — doctor visits, physical therapy, specialists, pharmacies and independent medical exams. Most states use the IRS standard business rate ($0.70/mile in 2026), but a handful — New York, Georgia, and Virginia — set their own.
